The town was really developed in the 1950’s, back when it was basically farm land. The opportunity was seen by Walter Traverse, he believed he could develop a water front community. Shortly after his investment of $10,000 to buy 250 acres of land his vision became a reality. The town now has nearly over 3,450 residents and is still growing.

The town has great access to all major highways, which make any commute a lot easier. Being only 10 minutes away from Downtown West Palm Beach, Lake Clarke Shores really does provide its residents that small town feeling. The community is very close, and familiar, knowing your neighbors would not be a problem. The town has a beautiful playground area for children and Town Hall is always open for everyone's needs.
