In prior generations, marriage was on of the life events that caused people to buy homes.  Is this true today?  Single buyers are making an impact on the real estate market.  They realize that buying a home is an important step to financial security.  Many single buyers have the income to support buying and it is often less than renting.  

9% of single men are buying homes and 14% of women are buying homes.

Here are the reasons that single buyers should buy a home:
